'...highly professional, convincing...'
(Jaana Klevering, choreographer)

Applying voice, movement and experiential anatomy in dance and theater improvisation.

Integrating bodywork techniques (Organ Rebalancing, Craniosacral Therapy & Body-Mind Centering®) with vocal and movement expression.

Certification Program leading to Somatic Movement Therapist/Educator (recognized professionally by ISMETA).

VOCAL DANCE frees the voice to be fully alive and reflected in one´s expressive behavior and movement.

VOICE MOVEMENT INTEGRATION is a hands-on bodywork practice combining voice with movement to stimulate and organize the body’s physical-perceptual-emotional awareness.

Participants study the human body drawing on experiential anatomy, physiology, human motor development, perception and body oriented psychology to bring cognitive understanding into a whole body experience.

These approaches use physical awareness and movement as a resource for understanding the whole of the person. These skills are then applied to how we facilitate a larger group process and guide individually with our sense of touch.

Each person combines the results of in-depth personal study with hands-on partnering work and ensemble interaction to gain confidence and practical experience in synthesizing intuitive creative processes with informed analysis of movement and voice.

'Your work is absolutely inspiring'
(Robin De Haas, singer & teacher)

This course is intended for people working professionally, studying or showing interest in the fields of education, the performing arts, therapy (physical and psychological), health and healing. People who enjoy a genuine curiosity and passion for learning will find it of great interest.

Participants have applied this work successfully to dance, music and voice, theater, education, child development, speech therapy and body-oriented therapy.

'...put me in touch with the vital sources of singing & dancing; the level of the teaching enables me to integrate this training into my life and my sculpture.'
(Marianne Jansen, sculptor)

The Curriculum consists of somatic studies in:

Vocal Dance
• using practical explorations with sound combined with moving in space to deepen the experience of physical integration.
• using improvisation to enliven and broaden our understanding of the material as it applies to moving actively, individually and in a larger group process.

Body-Mind Centering®
• acquiring an experiential understanding of the major anatomical systems of the body through touch, perception  and movement.

Anatomical Studies
• researching the body systems (muscular, skeletal, organ,  endocrine, fluid and nervous systems) as a source for  identifying and qualifying sensation in movement.

Developmental Movement
• using developmental movement sequences to explore the basic neurological patterns and underlying reflexes that co-ordinate body movement.

Bodywork principles and practices
• observing the structural balance of the body in relationship to the underlying organic support.
• practicing partnerwork to refine quality of touch to accurately contact different levels of tissue muscle, bone, organ, nerve) in another person.
